Case Study for Casual Game Launch
Mood Entertainment undertook a casual game program launch exclusively for Walmart. Research showed that the 35+ female market was a huge consumer of these products, so it fit with Mood's expertise to explore this new revenue stream. On-line purchases were still seen as a barrier for older users.
My role as Creative Director included many facets from concept development, execution of product, creative liaison and launch strategies. Working with the game developers, printers, animators and illustrators we quickly developed a line of product that synced with each individual developer's needs, while creating an umbrella brand unique to Walmart.
Interactive video display units were created to highlight specific gameplay. My team of designers, illustrators and writers executed over 200 skus, video and POP in under 8 months time. The success of the program enabled a rollout to Target the following year.
